CheckSmith Privacy Policy

CheckSmith is an offline check-writing app. Your data stays on your device. YB APPS LTD does not run a server for your data, and we never collect, see, or transmit the information you enter.

Information we collect

None automatically. CheckSmith has no account or login, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking. We do not receive any of your check data.

Information stored on your device

To do its job, the app saves the following locally, in the app's private storage on your device:

• Bank account details you enter (account holder name and address, bank name, routing number, account number) — used to print your checks.
• Payees / contacts you save.
• Records of checks you have written (payee, amount, date, memo, check number).
• Your signature image, if you choose to add one.
• An optional logo image, if you add one.
• App settings.

This information never leaves your device unless you choose to export or print it.

Backups you create

The app lets you export your data as a backup file and restore from one. You choose where that file goes (for example Google Drive or your device's Files). Those backups are controlled entirely by you; we never receive them. Anyone with access to a backup file can read its contents, so store it securely.

Printing

Checks are printed or saved as PDF through your device's built-in print/share system. The output goes only where you direct it. We are not involved in that transfer.

Feedback you send

If you use the in-app feedback form, the message you type — and the contact email you optionally provide — is sent to us at info@ybapps.com so we can read and reply to your suggestion. We use it only to respond to and act on your feedback.

Permissions

• Photos / files (optional): only when you choose a logo image or import a backup file.
• Biometric / device unlock (optional): if you enable the app lock, authentication is handled by Android. We never see or store your fingerprint, face, or PIN.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data. Other than feedback you choose to send us, there is no server that receives your information.

Data retention and deletion

Your data stays on your device until you remove it — delete individual records in the app, or uninstall CheckSmith to erase all of its local data. Any backups you exported remain wherever you saved them until you delete them. To request deletion of feedback you emailed us, contact info@ybapps.com.

Children

CheckSmith is a financial tool intended for adults and is not directed to children.

Security

Your data is kept in the app's private storage and can be protected with an optional biometric/device lock. Because the app is on-device, the security of your data depends on the security of your device and any backups you create.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
